A valuable, common factor in houses built in the earlier half of the XX century is that the way that they controlled incoming light organically became an architectural facade feature. I seek to give this house a timeless feature by carving light that enters the main living room, as sunrise and morning light slices through an vertical ensemble of breezeblocks that form the core of the floating stairway.
