The principle of phytoremediation is the foundation to restore this 7-acre North Miami Brownfield site into an affordable housing complex for the elderly.
Purpose and community are the key components for the vision. The elderly benefit from activity and a sense of community, which architecture and site design should enable. Community lush green areas were imagined as a public park that would focus in the rehabilitation of bee and butterfly populations, and courtyards are opportunities for community gardening.
The time constraint in this project allowed the main views to consist of digital collage in lieu of modeling and rendering
